Da Vincis Demons

As some of you may know, the incredible series Da Vincis Demons, is filmed around here in Neath, Swansea and Margam. We are incredibly lucky to be surrounded with such beauty and the most stunning old and dilapidated buildings, this world has to offer. DaVincis Demons is filmed just up the road in Swansea Gate Business Park. I am lucky enough to drive past their out door sets almost every day and being a huge fan of the show myself, I do check each day to see what is being built of if anything is going on there at the moment. Season 3 has not yet been confirmed and because of this I find myself looking even more so on my way to work to see if there is anything going on.

Today was a good day. On my way to the studio this morning, I glanced in at the studio and saw that the set of the big ship, is being rebuilt. This is brilliant news. Even though season 3 has not yet been confirmed, it would be massive blow to the welsh economy if it was cancilled. Margam would no longer get money for the studio using their location for the show. The castle was in desperate need of repair before Starz stat parted using their grounds to film on, plus Swansea Gate Business Park was a very empty building, and our beautiful countryside would not been seen to millions around the world. So to see life back in Swansea Gate Business Park is incredible news, for the show, it’s fans, and more importantly it’s economy around South Wales .

I have added a few pictures I took today. One shows the boat being built, the other is the set they use for the entrance to the Madicis palace in season 2 episode 1, and the other is the South American sacrificial sight used almost at the beginning of Season 2 Episode 1. Such a brilliant show. Sorry the pictures are not clearer.
